Grace and I went on her first "field trip" to McCall's Pumpkin Patch with the little class she and I have been attending. We rode on a big charter bus, which was fun...
until it broke down on the side of I-40...
a nice police woman stopped to help us and let the kids try on her hat.
An hour+ later a new bus came to rescue us,
and we made it to the pumpkin patch.
but she didn't want to pick it up herself once she saw it was all muddy on the bottom!
Grace was yelling at (scolding?) the bunnies for some reason. She also really liked the ducks.
We saw a cow, also named Grace, get milked...

...and played in the dried-corn box.
There were two big slides built inside of this hill.
They were fast and so much fun!
They were fast and so much fun!
This was the first time Grace had to wear her warm clothes for any length of time in New Mexico. She discovered her jacket's pockets and then didn't want to take her hands out of them for anything!
We had a lot of fun, despite the bus incident. Next fall we'll have to schedule a family trip out there on a weekend so Brian can come with us.

That looks like a lot of fun! I love the part about her pockets.
Wow, how fun! Looks like it was quite the adventure from start to finish--that was a nice policewoman :)
